Unique Services
Our purpose is to improve health equity and well-being for those without access to showers, laundry services, sanitizing stations, and clean food prep area. Our volunteers and staff will address these immediate needs with compassion, to honor each person’s journey and affirm their inherent worth.
Empowering Programs
Sunrise2Sunset will provide additional essential services to include, but not limited to, clothing bank, clothing repairs, haircutting, and learning opportunities.
Community Impact
Sunrise2Sunset will collaborate with community partners and the clients we serve. Our goal is to align with existing initiatives and schedule ongoing outreach events. We plan to schedule activities each year, such as visiting unhoused encampments, participation in or joining of a coalition(s), attendance of city/council meetings that pertain to upholding our mission and purpose.
Facility Operations:
Our facility is expected to have a minimum of 6 shower units in total: 2 Female, 2 Male, and 2 Family with tub option. There will be a designated area for at least 5 sets of washers and dryers, 4 restrooms (to include toilet, sink, mirror, toiletries), kitchenette and social meeting space. An attached apartment to ensure security and 24/7 support for our on-site Operations Manager. Each facility will operate Monday through Saturday from 9am to 7pm. We have volunteers available to greet our clients and conduct brief screenings to evaluate each client’s needs then direct them to their identified interest.
SHOWER Program:
All shower rooms contain a dressing area, and a cabinet of clean, dry towels and shower toiletries are provided. There are a total of 4 individual shower rooms and 2 family shower rooms with bathtub options for young children. Clients will have a maximum of 30 minutes to shower and dress. Plans in progress to provide scheduling availability information via website or mobile app.
LAUNDRY Services:
We will utilize volunteer support to assist with overseeing the laundry services for our shower program needs. Our facilities will provide the use of washers and dryers, and laundry detergent at no cost for our clients. Clients can check in their laundry with our volunteers who will take care of loading, transferring, and folding of laundry as needed.
